About Prerniva Foundation

Prerniva Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to creating equitable opportunities through education, empowerment, health, livelihood, and community development. Guided by the values enshrined in the Constitution of India and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Foundation believes that every individual deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and live with dignity.

The name Prerniva combines the spirit of Prerna (Inspiration) and Niva (A Home), reflecting our belief that meaningful change begins when inspiration finds a place to grow. We envision communities where children learn without barriers, women lead with confidence, youth realize their potential, and families become active partners in building a stronger and more inclusive society.

The Prerniva Story

Founder & President

Gargi Sagar

An educator, researcher, and social development professional, Gargi Sagar founded Prerniva Foundation with the belief that education is the strongest foundation for lasting social transformation. Through years of working with students and communities, she witnessed how countless children and families possess immense potential but are often held back by limited access to opportunities, guidance, and resources.

Her vision is to build an organization that empowers individuals with knowledge, confidence, and opportunity, enabling them to shape their own futures with dignity.

Tarang Rai

Tarang Rai has long believed that talent exists in every community, but opportunity does not always reach everyone equally. Having observed many capable individuals struggle due to the absence of guidance and resources, he joined Prerniva Foundation with a commitment to creating meaningful pathways for growth and inclusion.

Together, the founders envision Prerniva Foundation as a platform that transforms inspiration into action and potential into lasting social impact.
